Oct 18, 2011 My question was about the WIN64 macro (not the WIN64). As I found out, it is defined by the compiler, but the VS IDE is still showing the code inside the appropriate #ifdef as grayed out. Now I realize this is a Visual Studio IDE problem and not the compiler problem. Thank you, -Victor. Jul 27, 2013 So I was setting up a new project in visual studio 2010 and I notice there is this option to develope either Win32 or x64 apps. I was wondering like what is the pros and cons of these two and like whats the difference I guess. I mean I would assume that x64 is better but I think that might just be my naivete of the subject getting the best of me. Dismiss Be notified of new releases. -->This topic describes the tools available for you to use in making your application 64-bit ready. Windows 10 is available for both x64 and ARM64 based processors.

The API elements are virtually identical between 32- and 64-bit Windows. The Windows header files have been modified so that they can be used for both 32- and 64-bit code. The new 64-bit types and macros are defined in a new header file, Basetsd.h, which is in the set of header files included by Windows.h. Basetsd.h includes the new: truncation from 'unsigned int64' to 'long.'

To build applications, use the linker and libraries provided by the Windows SDK. Most 32-bit libraries have a corresponding 64-bit version, but certain legacy libraries are available only in 32-bit versions. Mac office 2011 keygen dmg 1. Code that calls into these libraries will not link when the application is built for 64-bit Windows.
